At Rishikul Yogshala, we understand that not everybody has the required time and scope to enroll in a month-long yoga teacher training program. Also, there are several practitioners who have acquired their essential certifications and look for something subtler – like a daily practice class. Yoga Philosophy

Philosophy, in layman terms, is the study of the core principles or foundation of any subject – art or science alike. Thus, to define what is yoga philosophy, one has to say that the study that lays the root steps to understanding yoga is known as yoga philosophy. Unlike what most of us believe, yoga is not just about asana, alignments, and props. Yoga philosophy defines that the study of yoga encompasses not only the physical science of practicing but also the art of balancing our mind, body, and spirit to achieve the pure state on oneness within ourselves. The philosophy of yoga is at least a few thousand years old and has been in practiceas long as the physical science itself.

We understand the importance of a strong foundation for a learner and thus, we create special daily classes and talks on yoga philosophy for those enthusiasts who want to learn yoga for more than just its physical benefits.

Meditation is an age old Eastern practice with its equivalent in various cultures, to increase awareness by looking within and at the same time disassociating the “self” from the object. Meditation or dhyana is an integral part of the yogic upbringing—an effective way to attain peace of mind and the key to become more efficient at day to day activities. Aimed at heightening awareness and preparing the body and mind for a higher experience of the spiritual, the discipline of yoga is always accompanied with meditation to the extent a tune is inseparable from a song. The consciousness of the meditative mind is ideally all-embracing, cognitive of every passing sensation and its minutest repercussions, but without losing grasp on any of it.

Our daily meditation classes range from Yog Nidra, Chakra Cleansing, Osho meditations, Trataka, visualization, etc.The practitioners experience equanimity, peace, and joyful bliss with the help of these guided classes.
