The festivity is around the corner and the nip in the air makes us realize of the approaching celebration times. Winter brings with itself fun, frolic, meeting friends and family. But it is also accompanied with digestion issues as. With so much on the plate, resisting the temptation to indulge can be difficult. We suggest, don’t stop yourself from indulging once in a while. After all isn’t festive season all about eating, relaxing, meeting family & friends and eating a little more? While we gorge on foods that might not make our stomach and gut happy, our liver may complain as well, here are some amazing easy to do Yoga poses for enhanced digestion.  You can practice these poses at home four to five times in a week.

Yoga Poses to Beat the Digestive Issues from a Celebratory Season

Paschimottasana oe Forward Bend Pose

 A standing forward bend, the pose is great for massaging the abdomen area & kidneys, stretching the hamstring and cutting down the belly fat. It stimulates digestions and relives constipation.

 Pawanmuktasana or Wind Relieving Pose

 A great supine posture, Wind relieving pose, as the name suggests, releases any excess gas in the body and also massages the organs in the abdomen area. It is perfect for the Vata constitution people, as it controls the air element in the body.

 Malasana or Garland Pose

 Working deeply on the pelvic area, the pose presses the stomach along with creating pressure on the intestines and liver. This in turn aids in detoxifying the body of the waste stuck in the intestines. Also, the pose release excess gas and air in the body.

 Naukasana or Boat Pose

 Yet another pose that puts pressure on the abdomen region, the pose lifts the pressure off the diaphragm, releasing the stomach and creating extra space for the liver. It also requires the entire core to lift up the torso thereby working the abdominal muscles and organs a little more.

 Marchiasana or Seated Twist

 A deep twist, Marchiasana massages the abdominal organs and allows increased flow of blood into the stomach. All types of spine twists twist the abdomen muscles, which is perfect for inducing a healthy digestion.

All these poses would reignite the digestive fire and promote a quicker metabolism, saving you from all the digestion drama and unease.
