Iyengar Yoga Workshop at Rishikul Yogshala

Iyengar Yoga

We use tools like bricks, belts and blankets to help make yoga accessible to all. Following the path of B.K.S. Iyengar, we focus on the fine lines of alignment to make yoga reachable for every body type. This form of yoga aligns the physical, intellectual, mental, and spiritual bodies together. As per guru B.K.S Iyengar, each asana/pose has an optimum line without any deviation. From the foot to the head, from the front to the back, and from the left to the right.

Sound Healing at Rishikul Yogshala

Sound Healing

We use the vibrations of specific instruments and tones to create a therapeutic space that settles the nervous system. These sounds help the brain reach deeper theta and delta states. These are essential for emotional release and deep rest. With the sound waves rolling in the background, we help your nervous system let go of built-up stress. It is a meditative practice that restores balance to both the mind and body through the simple power of resonance.

Yoga Therapy at Rishikul Yogshala

Yoga Therapy

To practice yoga is to seek union. Here at Rishikul Yogshala Goa, we use it as a holistic tool to relieve disorders and restore balance. We combine traditional asana, pranayama, and meditation with modern science. Our approach is made to support individual health needs. It is a holistic way of looking at wellness. You learn how to help others find relief and balance. We use the mat as a dedicated space for genuine physical and mental recovery.

Teaching Practicum at Rishikul Yogshala

Teaching Practicum

Teaching is both a science and an art. It requires clear communication and awareness. You will learn the logical side of things. These are things like sequencing and rhythm. You will also learn the subtle skills needed to manage different class sizes and age variations. Learning to lead a class needs both logic in understanding the sequence and a subtle feeling of experiencing the flow and depth of the students. We show you the mechanics of building a sequence while helping you develop the heart to connect with a room full of people. This is a hands-on space where you find your confidence and authentic voice to share with the world.

Restorative Yoga at Rishikul Yogshala

Restorative Yoga

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is absolutely nothing at all. Restorative yoga is just that. This practice is about slowing down and releasing tension with almost no muscular effort. We do this by holding passive stretches for longer periods with the help of bolsters, blocks, belts and blankets. You allow your body to open up naturally. It is a deeply meditative way to calm the nervous system. We allow the muscles to relax and the breath to slow down. It is a restorative pause that calms the nerves and brings your whole being back.

All You Need to Know - 300 Hour YTTC

FAQs - 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training In Goa

∞∞
QWho is eligible to join this 300-hour program?

This advanced training is designed for anyone who has already earned their 200-hour yoga teacher certification. It is the perfect next step if you feel ready to move beyond the foundations.

QAm I allowed to explore Goa’s local cafes for my meals?

You are more than welcome to enjoy the local food scene. We just ask that you let our kitchen team know in advance if you are planning to eat out. This helps us manage our meal prep and ensures we are not wasting food.

QCan I still join if I have no intention of becoming a professional teacher?

Of course. A good number of our students join us simply because they want to go deeper into their own practice. It is a beautiful way to spend a month immersing yourself in advanced yogic wisdom, regardless of your career plans.

QWhat is the rhythm of a typical day in Goa?

Your days will be full and focused. But we make sure there is a healthy balance. You can usually expect two or three physical yoga sessions daily. These are interspersed with deep dives into philosophy, anatomy, and teaching methodology. We also carve out dedicated time for meditation and pranayama.

QI am relatively new to yoga—is it possible to skip the 200-hour and start here?

Since this is an advanced-level curriculum, it is not quite right for beginners. You really need that introductory 200-hour foundation first. It ensures you have the basic alignment and knowledge required to safely and effectively handle the more complex practices we cover in the 300-hour course.

QIs the Shala located near the beach?

Yes, our Goa location is tucked away in a peaceful spot only about 10 minutes’ walk from the coast. You will be able to feel the sea breeze and take short walks to the shore during your free time to ground yourself and enjoy the sunset.

QDo I need to bring my own yoga mat and props?

We have all the necessary mats, blocks, and straps ready for you at the Shala. However, you will be spending a lot of time on your mat during this intensive month. Many students find it more comfortable to bring their own. It is entirely up to you.

QWhat should I pack in terms of clothing?

Breathable, comfortable yoga attire is best for our daily sessions. We also recommend bringing something white to wear for our opening fire ceremony. It beautifully complements the traditional Vedic rituals.

QWill I have any time to see the local sights of Goa?

While the course is intensive, we believe in the importance of rest and exploration. You will have some time during the weekends and during your daily breaks to visit local markets, explore the nearby nature, or simply relax by the ocean.

QDo I need prior experience to understand the classes?

Not at all. We teach our curriculum starting from the very basics. We will guide you through everything from body constitutions to practical self-care rituals in a way that is easy to understand and apply to your daily life.

QHow does this course help me find my own unique teaching style?

This is a major focus of our 300-hour program. We do this through demo classes and personalized feedback from our instructors. You will get time to do deep self-reflection. We help you move past “standard” teaching and find a voice that is authentically yours.
