Student Code of Conduct & Principles – Rishikul Yogshala

• Comprehensive Foundation: The course offers a thorough foundation in yoga philosophy, anatomy, postures (asanas), pranayama (breath control), meditation techniques, and teaching methodologies, preparing participants to teach effectively and safely.
• Skill Development: Students develop practical teaching skills such as sequencing classes, adjusting postures for all body types, providing verbal cues, and fostering inclusive environments. Hands-on teaching practice helps students earn RYT certification with Yoga Alliance.
• Personal Transformation: Beyond physical practice, the training is a journey of personal growth and self-discovery. It nurtures mindfulness, fosters inner transformation, and deepens the mind-body connection.

Rishikul Yogshala is committed to maintaining high ethical standards and behavioural integrity. All management, staff, trainers, and students must follow these principles:

• Respect and Integrity: Treat all individuals with respect, honesty, and fairness. Discrimination, harassment, or disrespect will not be tolerated.
• Professionalism: Maintain appropriate boundaries, uphold confidentiality, and demonstrate responsibility in all interactions.
• Adherence to Policies and Regulations: Comply with Rishikul Yogshala’s policies and relevant laws.
• Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts constructively and promptly through established communication channels.
• Promotion of a Positive Environment: Contribute to an inclusive, supportive learning environment that promotes mutual growth and support.

Disciplinary Action: Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary measures, including termination of enrollment or employment, depending on the severity of the infraction.

Rishikul Yogshala maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward all forms of harassment, including:

• Sexual, physical, personal, or online harassment
• Discriminatory or verbal harassment that creates a hostile environment

All reports will be thoroughly investigated, and appropriate action will be taken to resolve issues. Confidentiality will be respected, and anyone reporting harassment will be protected from retaliation.

The school prohibits retaliation against individuals reporting Code of Conduct or Anti-Harassment violations. Any form of retaliation is treated as a serious violation, and disciplinary action may include termination of enrollment or employment. We encourage open communication and take steps to ensure individuals feel safe when speaking up.

The Grievance Policy provides a framework for individuals to voice concerns:

• Filing a Complaint: Submit written complaints to the designated grievance officer with relevant details.
• Investigation: The complaint will be investigated promptly and impartially.

• Tuition Payment: Full payment of tuition is required before the program begins unless other arrangements are made.
• Refund Policy: Refund requests must be submitted in writing and will be processed following applicable laws.

• Attire: Students should wear comfortable, modest clothing suitable for yoga practice.
• Diet: Non-vegetarian food is prohibited on the premises to align with the principles of yoga and vegetarianism.
• Women's Safety: A safe and secure environment is ensured for female students, with specific facilities and protocols for their well-being.
